Andy Callis joined the agency in 2006 after spending 7 years in Seattle working in the finance industry and later for PEMCO Insurance as a Licensed Agent. He holds Property & Casualty licenses in the states of WA, CA, ID, AZ & OR, and has obtained the special designation of ACSR (Accredited Customer Service Representative). Andy is the President of the agency and a Commercial Lines Risk Advisor. He primarily works with business owners and nonprofit agencies, as well as managing the agencyâ€™s marketing and general operations. Andy graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1999 and the University of WA in 2003 with a BA in Economics. Andy and his wife Amy have two daughters Mya and Sadie. Passionate about the local community, Andy joined Norâ€™Wester Rotary and was President in 2016-2017 and Vocational Chair from 2007 – 2016. Andy is on the Port Angeles advisory board for Boys & Girls Club of the Olympic Peninsula, and serves as their finance chair. In his spare time Andy enjoys fishing, golfing, hiking, photography, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
Julie Jeromchek is a 2nd generation Port Angeles native. She is a PAHS class of 1985 graduate and attended Peninsula College. She began her career at Callis & Associates, Inc., in 1985 as a part time file clerk and now holds a Property/Casualty and Life/Disability license and is the Personal Lines Manager. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, home dÃ©cor, making beach glass jewelry, and spending the weekends with her husband Joe at their Lake Cushman property.
Mary Patzman joined the agency in 2016 to work with our Commercial Insurance clients.Â She has spent her career in the insurance industry with an emphasis on Employee Benefit plans and Human Resources, and she has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources.Â As our Employee Benefits Risk advisor, Mary is excited to use her Employee Benefit plan experience to help grow our Group Health Insurance client base.Â Mary grew up spending weekends and vacations on the Olympic Peninsula and is happy that she is now calling Port Angeles home.
Melissa BriggsÂ has returned to theÂ team; she hasÂ transitioned into the Office Manager / Bookkeeper position that was held by Gwyn.Â Melissa originallyÂ joined our teamÂ in 2011Â working in the Commercial Lines Department with Andy.Â MelissaÂ brings 20 years of experience in Office Management/ Bookkeeping from the Construction and Real Estate Industry.Â Melissa moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 1991 andÂ graduated from Sequim High School in 1993. Melissa and her husband were blessed with twins in 2015. Now she spends her days chasing kids and savoring parenthood. Melissa says â€œThere really is nothing quite like seeing the world through the eyes of a child.
Alicia Shertzer joined the team in June 2015 as an Executive Assistant and Receptionist.Â Alicia obtained her Property & Casualty insurance in the summer of 2016 and enjoys working with our personal lines clients and is seeking to get her license in life and health.Â She is a longtime resident of Sequim and graduated Sequim High School in 2010.Â She enjoys traveling, the beach, her family, and being involved in the veteranâ€™s community. Alicia has already proven to be an asset to our office and provides efficient and friendly customer service. We are very pleased to have her as part of the team.
Erika Kerschner joined our agency in 2013 and she brought with her a diverse array of experience in the insurance and financial industries reaching back to 1989 when she first began her career in insurance.Â Erika is licensed in Life/Health and Property/Casualty, and is also our resident Medicare and Health Exchange expert.Â Erika and her husband enjoy spending their time together in the great outdoors of the northwest, and making their annual trip down to the Oregon coast for some rest and relaxation.Â Customer care has always been very important to Erika and she enjoys working with the customers of Callis Insurance.
Derek FloorÂ joined the agency in 2017 to oversee our Bremerton office. He has been in the insurance industry since 2007 and is licensed in property, casualty, life and health. Derek is a Northwest native, having grown up in Salem, Oregon. As a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, this was his segue to the great state of Washington and currently resides in Gig Harbor. He has two amazing kids; Lauren age 15 and Davis age 10. Being a father to these two is pure joy and often times hilariously funny with a dash of sass. Derek is a huge fan of all sports but has a true passion for football and baseball. He loves the Seahawks and has been known to be a closet Oregon State Beaver fan. Derek is a member of Harbor Covenant Church in Gig Harbor and is also involved with the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce. His motto is â€œAll Things Peopleâ€ and is readily available to listen.
Kayla Hennings joined our team November 2017 as a Commercial CSR. She was born in Port Angeles and Graduated in 2015 from PAHS. She spent most of her time in the band program playing the Trombone in Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Pep Band, and Marching Band. She now enjoys spending her time spoiling others with her baked goods, cuddling her eccentric little dog Phoebe, and going on adventures.
Cody Johnson Joined the Agency in 2019 as a Commercial Insurance Producer. He is licensed in Health and Property/Casualty. Cody broke into the Insurance industry by starting out at Aflac. After working for Aflac, Cody decided he wanted to work for a local Insurance agency to broaden his experience and work with more clients. He is always a ray of happiness, that will lighten your mood. He always has a story to tell and a big smile to greet anyone he comes in contact with.
Emily Irwin joined Callis Insurance in the Spring of 2019 as our Port Angeles Administrative Assistant. Born in Utah & raised in Washington, she has lived in Port Angeles for 20+ years. In her spare time, Emily enjoys photography, spending time with her friends/family and petting as many dogs as possible on a daily basis. Although she is fresh to the world of insurance, Emily has over ten years in customer service and is excited to use her dedicated work ethic & social skillsets here at Callis Insurance. We are pleased to have her on our team & watch her grow in her new career.
Nancy Reid joined our team in 2019 as an administrative assistant and receptionist. Nancy was born in Canada, but lived most of her life in Southern California, where she dedicated 35 years of her career to servicing clients in a lead customer service position. She moved to Washington in 2009 where she spent the first 5 years working for a Tax and Financial Management firm as an administrative assistant, then was employed by a Law Firm as a Legal Assistant for the last 3 years. When she is not working, she spends her time with her husband, goes to car shows, and enjoys working in her yard and garden and loves reading.
